How to make the best out of your life at Stevens Institute of Technology?

Academics

You will have to take about 3~4 General Electives and 3~4 Technical Electives. So, instead of taking just any random subjects, why don’t you do a Minor or maybe a Graduate Certificate? (or both!) If you are willing to dedicate yourself to classes, you can also do Degree + Master’s in 4 Years!!

Gain Working Experience – Good for your Resume!

Technogenesis:

Technogenesis is a research program sponsored by Stevens Institute of Technology during the summer. You will get free room & board plus $3,500 for a 10-week research duration. (Jowari)

Research Experience for Undergraduate:

Research Experience for Undergraduate is opened only to undergraduate US Citizens. So, if you were born in the United States, you can apply for this program. (Nadia)

Cooperative Education (Co-Op):

Co-Op is a program which allow you to work during Fall/Spring. You will work in your major area (EE/ME/CHE/etc.). The average pay for the job is $15/hour. However, you have to take classes during the summer. (Sureen, Arif)

Summer Internship:

Don’t feel like working during normal semesters? Then, apply for a summer internship! Join the workshops sponsored by Career Development office and sign up to be placed for summer internship. If you’d rather go back to Malaysia, then, apply for an internship in Malaysia! It’s fun!
